Controlled department access
WatchLine is for operational scheduling and hours documentation. It is not a records, evidence or criminal-case system.
Department and role boundaries
Server and database checks scope records to authorized accounts and departments. Officer timesheets are limited to their own records. Admin and Chief authority is checked for department actions. Ultimate Admin support access is controlled and recorded.
Account verification
Admin and Chief access requires authenticator verification. When an Officer has a verified authenticator enrolled, the database also requires that verification for operational access. Deactivated accounts cannot retain operational access simply by keeping an old session.
Review history
Important changes and approval decisions are recorded. Finalized timesheet corrections go through review as a new version while retaining the original. This supports traceability; it is not a claim that a database owner cannot alter records.
Private preview features
Automatic recurring shift bids and Chief-approved shared-calendar viewing are built for protected testing and remain paused. Shared viewing is limited to accepted published-calendar information, with separate permission for selected Admins. It does not grant access to another department's timesheets or allow schedule editing.
What has been checked—and what remains
Internal checks have tested department isolation, role restrictions and enrolled-account authenticator enforcement. Additional browser protections are prepared in the private build. Independent security assessment, complete restore verification and provider-setting review remain launch work. WatchLine does not claim CJIS certification or independent SOC 2 assurance.
